About RunFamRun
RunFamRun allows you to follow and share in the outdoor adventures of Laura and Matthew and their two children William and Joshua. We aim to keep you informed of our runs and adventures on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.
The idea for RunFamRun came from regularly being asked about how and why we do it, we hope to answer those questions for you.
To answer a common question: Do we make the children run? No, no, no! We have found by running without pressure or expectation that they found the love of running. We dont just run, we often combine running with sightseeing, great food, or stopping off to climb trees, explore or have a chat with other people.
Who are we?
Quite simply we are a family that enjoy spending time together and keeping fit at the same time. We go on sightseeing runs together on holiday, stopping off for cakes and treats on our adventures.
If we go to the cinema we run the 2 miles there, indulge in popcorn and hotdogs and then run it off on the way back home. Most importantly though, we are not special you can do it too!
When on holiday, we slowly run to view the sights with regular stops for ice cream, lunch, and maybe even a glass of wine (or lemonade for William and Joshua).
Below you will see a short intoduction on each of us.
Introducing the RunFamRun team
William (age 8)
I love running trails and climing trees and rocks during our runs. I have also completed a 50 mile trail over just 5 runs. My longest run was 14 miles.
Laura
I started running in late 2016 and went from being a total non-runner to completing the Liverpool Marathon 6 months later. Im looking forward to my first ultra marathon later in 2020.
Joshua (Age 6)
I like to be called Dobby (like the house elf) and I love getting covered in mud and stopping off mid-run for cake. I started running 5km parkruns at the age of 3 and now run 5km in 27 minutes.
